Dutchfield Farm where horses grow
At Dutchfield Farm Jeanette follows the principles of classical riding.
In her lessons she stands for teamwork between horse and rider. She will teach you not just knowing how to ride, but will give you all round knowledge of the horse as a species.
This will open the lines of communication between horse and rider, of being very aware of how every move you make means something to the horse, of first being able to ask yourself “what did I do that made the horse do that?” when you don’t get the response you were looking for. Jeanette's lessons are nothing about “making him do it”, it’s about teamwork.
Jeanette believes that the essence of great teamwork is great communication and this becomes even more critical when part of the team has four legs and doesn’t speak English!

Advanced rider or beginner, everyone can learn this communication and she welcomes them both as students at Dutchfield Farm.
Her Friesian gelding Z-Boy is available as a great lesson horse.

I’ll help you with the bridle if you just hold it steady

Not like that”, said Z-Boy, with a gentle nudge of his nose.
“I’ll help you with the bridle

if you just hold it steady”.
